Figure I'll ask a few questions here before I go take a look at it. It has the Tahoe package, not sure what all that includes but I hear it's the top trim package. What problems should I look for, the guy only wants 700 for it. Mileage is unknown, It's 4 wheel drive, and he says it needs a new fuel filter/tune up. Any pointers would definitely be appreciated, I don't need another junker in my life...

hello, well, 89 blazer is good truck. Is it stock?? rust?? oh well its cheap to run, cheap to build, body panels to engine. if you want some real fun youll have to overhaul that 700r4 and beef it up if it hasnt been done. The exhaust sucks, remove the cat, and put a ultra flow muffler with 3 inch system. Also. the diff is spegetti, so remove the stock diff and put a detroit tru trac in it and now you have a relieable posi. these trucks like 3 inch suspention lift. The engine is easy to tune. Just 8 plugs, cap and rotor. maybe wires. the transfer is weak if you need some power. If your looking for a stroker engine, forget about the stock tbi. you need some money first like 3000 for holley stealth ram commander 950-awsome power gains. check out mine Ill send you some picks if you want some.
erauto@telus.net I have 88 jimmy. VERY fast truck, but lots of money in it, its fun to drive, I can burn tires at 85km-with 700hp engine 427 dart little M. I have tried every engine, 350, 355, 383, but the last one 427 is the best. any mods you make to the engine youll need to upgrade your tbi. they can only handle 230 hp.
