I have vacuum problems with my automatic hub lock actuator.   I am considering going to
a manual system and was wondering if anyone out there has used this kit or know of a better
or less expensive kit.

It seems to me this would be much more reliable.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I think the big problem with that is that you still have an electronically controlled transfer case. That just replaces the vacuum actuated front diff. And considering a new vacuum actuator is <$60, you''''ve got quite a few replacements to go through before you''''d save any money with the posilock.

Edit: Just saw you have an ''88....do you even have the elctronic shift control? Or do you have a floor mounted manual lever? (Havn''t ever been in an ''88)

a little easier to take  ;-)
