Moped Wreck, Filing a claim

My buddy bought a 07 150 cc moped last year and got full coverage on it. Well he wrecked it at the end of summer but never filed a claim cause he was gonna pay for it himself so his insurance doesn't go up. Well now he doesn't have the money so can he still claim on it and get it fixed? Thanks.

he should be able to file a claim.  you can always ask your insurance agent.  you can ask them all sorts of questions and even see what his rates would go up to based on payout.  The companies dont care untill you actually do ask for their money.

I would imagine most companies have a time limit within which to file a cliam, but that's something he would have to ask his carrier about.
