I'm doing a swap in a 94 jimmy. Factory the motor is the 4.3 vortec. The problem is the motors on its last leg. (tick-tick-tick-tick) believed to be bottom end possible spun a bearing. Not exactly sure. OK, So I have a 91 4.3 out of a chevy 1500 pick-up that is non-vortec. My plan to just use the block from the 91 -non-, and the rest of the assembly from the vortec motor in the jimmy.
So, my question is ...
Does anyone have any insite into any problems I may run into. My biggest concern is what sensors may need to be changed or even drilled and tapped, due the block being older.
Any help would be greatly appreiciated.
