Ok so I only got a chance to shoot at one deer thanksgiving day and that was a 80+yard shot with it running away from me... Needless to say, I missed a hair high (like enough to take some hair off of the deer - LOL). If I had my brother's or my dad's 870, that deer would have been dead. I just bought an 870 Express deer gun the Monday before and I'm still not used to the rifled barrel. Both my dad's and brother's 870s are smooth bore and what I'm used to.

Anyhow, when my brother and I went out, the ground was all nice and frozen on top. Rougher than hell getting down to where I parked the truck at 5:30am... Fast forward to 11:30am and it is now ~45*F out... Well, things aren't quite frozen any longer... And I choose to go out into the field to turn around... LOL. Well the field was slop city on top and made for good mud slinging. The back driveway that was like a washboard earlier in the morning actually took power to get up it. Tires didn't help the matter. I still had fun and was considering going back down and screwing around in the field a bit more, but I had some more work to do in the shop clearing the way for my Chevelle to make the trip from the barn!

Wish I had the camera with me then...

I just snapped these pics Tuesday before and after a laser wash:

I was surprised at how little mud actually made it to the sides of the truck. You can see from the mirror (which the passenger side by far got it worse - had over 1" thick of mud on it!) that it definitely was spraying high enough... Under and on the rocker panels, the mud was around 1" thick as well! It just stuck and stayed... I would have thought that much of it would have fallen off, but I'm not that lucky! LOL.

Now the wash consisted of a quick scrub with the brush they had before you went in. Man I wish I brought my camera with me because even though the underside is still packed with mud, I dropped enough on the entrance pad and inside the wash booth to put together a decent window garden - LMAO!!!

Actually those tires are barely worn at all... They're just not any sort of aggressive. LOL

They just won't wear out on me! Next year will be new tires whether these are shot or not. I'm thinking about stepping up to 30x9.5 tires, but I may just go with the 235/75R15. 235/70R15's are on it now.

30x9.5s ftw, you can get Swamper TSL's that small...I think they even make a 29" TSL (a half inch bigger than 235/75/15 roughly)
