Just bought my Blazer yesterday. I got a Blue 93 Tahoe LT 4X4. I have only ever owned a Volvo besides this beast, so I'm sorta already used to the size of it, considering my 88 240 Volvo was nicknamed "The Tank".
Right now it is getting all 4 ball joints on teh two front wheels done, plus the control arm bushings on the right. Then she's all mine!
I'm planning on painting it within the next year and putting on some sweet bush flares. Of course, a lift might be in order so as to make the flares look a little better, but we'll see how the finances are for all those things! The paint job is necessary, though, since theer are some rust spots and so are teh flares because theer is a hole right through the front fender from rust, so I plan to cut it right off and add the new flares.
Anyway, I like to work with my friend, who is an apprentice mechanic, and my girlfriend, on my vehicle, so I hope to find some good info and advice in here as time goes on. I'm really just a girl that wants to do as much as I can herself instead of paying big bucks to the shops!

Cool...mine's a bit rusty, so she'll be getting a paint job soon...I think I'm gonna go with candy apple blue with orange flames...

Well, I finally picked up my new baby from the shop today. Of course, I had to show someone my Volvo , so I didn't actually get to be the one to drive it home. I get the honours of driver it into work tomorrow morning, so I guess I will see how she REALLY does on the highway...
