did you paint the inside of the port?

yup, before I carpet rattle can the port black...Takes quite a bit depending on the width of the port, just because you have to spray it for a while to get the very back dark black...

Looks good.  Where the flushmount double baffle =)  Any reason for the sub and port facing the back?

I was actually going to do a flushmount baffle. But my Circle Jig for my Router Mysteriously dissapeared so I had to jigsaw this one...And the sub/port back was to keep the box as shallow as possible. This is still the DD grocery getter so I had to leave some room for Beer and Chips...

Thanks. It takes up a little more than half the total depth, so i have about 12-15" left. Not a whole lot. But enough...

As long as I have the specs on the sub, all I need is the cutout diameter and the outside diameter. Its nice to have the sub with me so I can make sure it mocks up nice, but not really necessary...

Seems like a whole hell of a lot of measuring and drilling. For $35 i think i'll just pick up a new one...

yea i heard about those. lol, they look like sh*t though.  and the ones i see for 8" subs i dont think will fit mine.
im glad to see that you painted your port. i know tons of people that get the box built sub in it and wrapped and then look at it and say i should have painted inside the port. some just leave it. looks like crap.

yea i know, but i think un covered boxes also show lack of quality. i know is will sound the same but it just looks incomplete.  in the next couple of months my new box will be done or i will have a 1, either way i will carpet the box
