I just bought an '03 White Blazer Extreme!!! It's got 32,000 miles, but i've got 1 major concern. I'm getting an EXTREME (lol) shake at like 65 mph until like 71 mph then it gets smooth again. Any Suggestions? Anyways, I've got question about the RPO: DTO: "Customer Installed Decal Package", the truck had vinyl red stripes going vertically down the hood and down the tailgate (not roof), but I had them removed the same day I bought the truck. I didn't think they were from factory because there are small scratches where the red stripes were, as if the stripes were put on the truck to cover the scratches. (WHOOPS). And also I took pictures of the stickers that are placed in the center of the Chevy signs in the front of the truck and in the rear tailgate. Basically all i want to know is what the RPO "DTO" stands for and if the red stripes and stickers in the middle of the chevy signs are from factory.

Thanks,

Jovani

Nice looking truck.
The shake could be a wheel balance or a tire problem. I bought an 05 Blazer in August last year, same high speed shake. It took 8 months to resolve the problem. First they tried wheel balance, wheel alignment, replaced 3 tires under warranty. The cure was to replace all 4 tires with a higher quality Michelin tires. By the way, I traded in the Blazer last month for an 06 GMC Sierra extended cab pick up. I still have the three older Blazers though.

I was about to ask, since I haven't heard you say anything about a new blazer.

nice lookin truck, but imo you need to lose the bowtie stickers. If you find out what is causing the shake, let me know, cause I have a wrangler that does the same thing between 55 and 60.

WOW!! That was fast, you guys reply quickly. I LIKE THIS FORUM!! Thanks for the compliments!! Im going someday next week to get it checked out, it's G.M. Certified for 3,000 miles or 3 months. I'll keep you posted.
LOL. The stickers are coming off even if they are from factory.

Thanks,
Jovani

RPO stands for Regular Production Option. Not sure about DTO. Tape stripes were an option on Blazer and S-10 Xtremes.

Hello and welcome! the decals in the center of the bowties are definitely add-on (not original equipment) as far as the RPO codes if you give me the last 8 digits of your VIN I can run a Vehicle inquiry on G.M.'s website and give you a list and description of every option your truck has including this "DTO".

3K111653. In the R.P.O.'s of the truck it has the DtO code which is Customer Installed Decal Package, but like I said before underneath the stripes there are scratches as if the decals were put there from aftermarket to cover them. Eitherway, if the truck did come with the stripes I'm still not putting them back on..:).

Yea I know it could be something minor, but the Truck's certified so I might as well try and get something else out of those BASTARDS...lol.

Here you go! This should tell you all you want to know about you new truck! The first half is all the warrantee claims filed for this truck with G.M. (looks like it's had some problems) The rest is a list of the RPO's and their descriptions. Notice the last one is 7OA (torch red accent stripes) FACTORY EQUIPMENT!!
