I have (or rather my wife) has a POS 94 Blazer 4x4 with a v6 vortec engine. I have changed out the plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter and the beast still wants to run like crap. Keeps giving me a code 45 and I think that might be a bad O2 sensor. Sometimes I get a real bad sulpher smell from the exhaust and other times it is a strong gas smell. Anyway, while trying to fix it one day I was checking for loose hoses etc... and I came across a hose just hanging, not connected to anything. Its on the passenger side of the engine compartment between the battery and a big black ball (what is that thing anyway) There is a hose that comes from the wheel well that has an electrical connector on that end. On the other end it tees of into what looks like two smaller vacuum hoses. One hose runs off back behind and around the motor and the other end is a mystery. I have looked everywhere to see if I can find an obvious hook up for this hose but I just can't seem to find anything. The Clymer manual I have isn't worth wiping your ass with so I was wondering if any of you might be able to help out.
