Need advice

i got a 2000 s-10 4 door, automatic or manul 4wd, i want to put a 4 inch lift kit and i think 36 inch tires on it, how hard is it to install the lift kits, and i going down the right path, i want to go in the mud, couple of my friends have jeeps and dodges and they have large lift kits and tires, i want to be able to go on the trails they do, and not the "baby car" trails

i should have a folding light bar and a small brush guard with two lights, ill try to get picks if that helps

there arent 4" lift kits.  us blazer owners are unlucky enough to only have 2" or 6" susp lift and 2" or 3" body lift.   i dont think you could fit 36's very easily even with 6" and a body lift

wow well thats sadening, the guy whoi highly respect for his knowledge of this stuff said we could try but it would be really hard

im sure theres a way. rcars2 was able to squeeze 33's on his 4dr with a 2" body lift and 2" susp lift and lotsa trimming. imagine what could be done with a 3"body lift and 6" susp lift.
 
only problem is, 6" superlift is close to 2 grand and the "recommended" tire size is 32" IIRC

o btw are super chagrer savaible for mine? or turbo, or anyhting to squeez out some more horspower, mabe im not the only one, but i think these things are fast, this is my dfirst car, i work at a car garage so i drive a vareity of cars daily from bmw m3s to geometros, but these things seem really fast even compared to my moms 2008 honda v-6 3.5(well it obvisly isnt as fast but can keep up up till about 30-40mph), but then moms car totaly domintaes

yeah, there are supercharger kits, wynjammer has one along with powerdyne and maybe some others

how much do those run i saw no prices

idk about the powerdyne but i think the wynjammer is close to 2.5k

6lbs boost on top of ~14psi normal air pressure would be 20psi going into the engine.
 
20/14 = 1.429
 
190 x 1.249 = 271.51
 
271.51 - 190 =  approx 81 hp?
 
 
i have absolutely no idea if that is correct or not. there was a kid in my intro to engineering class who was telling me thats how he found out how much hp his s/c cobalt was making. i would think a supercharger would add more than that. but i could be completely wrong.  i couldnt find any numbers or dyno sheets on their website
 
 

that not awhole lot for 2.5k considering i think a cold air intake for only 190 will rais u about 7-10hp i for get the exact numbers

that seems about right. my K&N CAI said its like 7.1 hp.  but thats also at like 4800rpm which is hardly reachable driving in the city

my town is mostly back roads and im a heavy throttle user so wat ever i can get is good

just do a sfa conversion, if your looking to go that big.

I wouldn't go over 33" tires. The drivetrian wont survive with 35" tires, unless you baby it.
 
To get 33" under it you have several options.
Fender trimming.
Body lift and fender trimming.
6" suspension lift.
 
To get bigger tires, go with a solid axle swap. 
 
To keep up with your friends, install the 33" meaty tires (however you like) and install a rear locker and front limited slip. Then remove your front sway bar, or at least disconnect it, and install some 2" shackles in teh rear and crank the front t-bars 1". With this set up you will have good ground clearance, they will have maybe 1" more if they are running 35" tires. They will have better articulation, however a good driver can get around that most of the time. Most of the limitation is the driver, not the vehicle.

i agree i wouldnt go over 33" tires unless you do a solid axle swap and a engine swap to a v8.

tire price aint my proble, sinc ei work at townfair tire i get really good discounts on thses massive tires and rims

Not too sure I would swap in a V8. All depends on what you want. A stock V8 of old has less power then a modern 4.3V6. Plus it weighs 100 pounds more.

If you do go V8, you may have to go with Dana60 axles too, now your getting expensive. At least with the 4.3 you can still run a D44 and up to a 37" tire or so.

can i convert my blazer to the offroading version, casue we worked on one in my shop and it looked awsome, almost complete skidplations rasied about 2-5 inches hihger then stock i think, just wondering is you could do this, i forget what was on the side but it was Similar in the way that the the z-71 version of a chevy pickup truck

ZR-2.  Different frames.  You can lift it make it look like one, but as Jigg found at when he tried to do so, it's just cheaper in the long run to get rid of the non-ZR-2 and go and buy one.
