NEED help with fuel filter

im in the engine bay and i already have the nipple end unclamped and pressure relieved, now i have the threaded end to worry about. i cannot for the life of me get the damn bolt thingy unstuck. anyone got any tips or help? any kind at all would be greatly appreciated. im on AIM, IM me at hachimroku.

nevermind, i finally got it. i didnt have any pb blaster, so i soaked in in WD40 for like two and a half hours. went back out there and got it first try.
 
i never could get the bolt end of the filter back into the little housing for it, but the bracket is on it and the lines are connected so it doesnt really matter. thanks lennyblazer for the help on AIM!

Glad you got it don and that I could help you out. What bolt thing are you talking about? If it secures the filter to the fuel line that would be an important thing to have connected properly. Post up a picture of the problem if you can.

I bought a new fuel filter a couple of weeks ago. I've been putting off the operation because the old one is rusted on. I'm betting it's from the factory.

Yeah just spray that sucker with some PBblaster befor you start and it should go easier.

finally got a picture. the top end of the filter is supposed to fit into the hex shaped housing, but it isnt in my case.

Also, i noticed this when i got under the hood to take the pic, its a loose connector, any idea what it goes to? (its the third box from the left)

trailer wiring?  I have no idea.
