NEED research paper topic!

so ya i'm trying to think of a research paper topic for my english class. i was thinkin of researching off-roading or le mons racing or something like that. i'm not all sure how i would break down those topics but ya it needs to be 7-9 pages and 5 sources 2 of which can not be internet sources.

Yeah I was going to say off-roading or le mans racing are sort of general topics, atleast le mans is a little more specfic. If you wanted to do off roading, i would narrow it down to like the history of some thing. Like Rock crawling, CORE, endurance racing, general hobby off roading (maybe going into how local ORV trails/parks got setup, etc.)

I don't know what your parameters are other than the length and sources, but I would say you could do some research on like a brief history of the computer (wouldn't have to get too specific). Or you could go into a specific computer type (PC, MAC, etc.) and the history behind making those.

The thing is there is lots of topics, but try to find one that you could get a majority of the info out of books/encyclopedias/newspapers/etc. then go from there. Also you want to narrow it down to something specfic but not so specific that you are talking about a bunch of boring techincal stuff, or going into way too much detail, or run out of things to say before you get to the proper length. Good luck on the paper, I know I hated writing papers at first, but then I got pretty good at it (and I am an engineer).

you could try nuclear energy (past, present, future, Chernobyl, the debate on whether we should use it or not, ect). There should be alot of info on that, and semi interesting. I dunno about you, but i find hard enough as it is typing 7 pages;let alone 7 pages on wheelin!

Ahhh. been through this. Its a headache. Source can't be wikipedia or an encyclopedia of any kind also... if you do your research paper on Heating and A/C, I might can be an asset to you as I still have all my sources. You can't copy my work though, its only 5 pages.

I did a 12 page paper on Hybrids when I was a Senior.  I got a A- on it.  Tons of info out there.

le mans racing or stock car racing history present future safety, different levels, i.e Nextel cup, Bush Series, Local tracks. etc.

Don't you mean Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series? lol They change the title every year it seems like...


I'm serious about the "Principles of Refrigeration" topic. I still have all the sources and everything. All of them you can find in a library.

well so far i've decided to go w/ the topic of off roading and to cover the diff types and how to prepare a vehicle for off roading and briefly cover the diff off road sports organizations. but thanks for all the info and ideas! ya i'm good at writing the paper and stuff its just finding and chosing a good topic.
 
and ya like euro said they have changed names but it hasnt been like every yr this is the first time the busch/nationwide series changed names in a long time and the only reason it changed from nextel to sprint is because the company changed names.
 

I was completely un aware of the change, i feel stupid lol. I like stock car racing but i like sprint cars and World of Outlaws alot more

you could do the effects of different sound frequencies on the human ear and use car stereo setups as examples
