hey i noticed that if i listen to my music loud and then turn off the car it has troubles starting the next time i start it and it even happens if i let it run a little bit b4 i turn it off with the music off i only have a 700 watts amp and then my deck powering the speakers but i would like to add another 700 watt amp...so what would be best a bigger battery another battery a better alternator or a capacitor...although my truck starts everytime right now im afraid once winter roles around the minnesota cold will be to much for my truck to start

IMO I would go with reamping your alternator and getting a cap espetially if you do get another amp. I had a 950 watt amp in my 87 blazer and it drew the power down even with a reamped alt and a 1 farad cap. but thats just my 2 cents.

I have never had any probs with the subs left in the winter(have had many differnt subs in 4 yrs), and I have never gotten a bigger battery.

yeah, whoever told you the cold would hurt subs needs a good slap upside the head...also, check your ground for the amp for corrosion or looseness. By the way, what gauge are your power and ground wires ?

i think there 8 or 10 not sure i got the heavy duty ones from bestbuy if i remember right....and i know theres no corrosion cuz i jsut got the system within the last month but i will check for looseness

if its only 8 gauge I would change it to 4 gauge because of your power draw.

I concur with Dr. Blazin's diagnosis
