Hey folks! I recently bought my Blazer from a neighbor for $500. It sat for 8 months under a tree and was turning into a compost pile!! I cleaned all the tree gunk off, polished and waxed the exterior, and cleaned the interior; it looks like a totally different truck! The battery was also dead and leaking; so I cleaned up the battery tray and replaced the battery and + terminal. Works real good now!

It's a bright red 93 4 door 4x4 with the Vortec V6 and auto tranny, all the options power windows, moon roof, etc. It's got 160,000 miles; the transmission was replaced at 140,000. The truck was purchased to pull my boat (mini van was having a hard time), get around in the snow, and maybe do some light off roading.

Things to do:

- Fix EGR - code 32, rough idle, hard to start
- Acquire replacement aluminum wheel
- Replace idler arm
- Fix squeeky rear window
- Tune up - plugs, wires, cap/rotor, etc.
- Add CD player
- Fix driver's side window motor
- Fix driver's side power lock button (no workie)

hiya and welcome. sounds like a pretty good find you got there. for that price you cant go wrong. and even if you put a little money into it, you still got a good deal because of the fact you paid peanuts for it to begin with!

Anyway feel free to ask any questions, keep us updated with repairs or mods if you decide to do any... and hope to hear from ya soon!

Welcome to teh site. I too have a 93 4x4. My first few fixes included a new PASSENGER side window motor, ball joints and upper control arm bushings. I added a Pioneer CD player soon after as well.

My driver's side power lock button also no workie (well, not true...it sporadically works). My driver's side window motor is now going as well.

That's a great price and looks like you will get your money's worth with just a few upgrades and repairs.

Thanks for the Welcome! I just got the truck titled and tagged this evening. It's nice to be able to drive around without worrying about the tags being out of date...

I found some replacement wheels on ebay; the sale ended already with the reserve not being met. I'm hoping I can get a hold of the seller and strike a deal. They're selling four wheels; I'd like to use two to put on my truck (replace the busted wheel and put the second on as the spare). I'd then like to get two more (bringing the total to 8 wheels ), and get some mud tires to go on them. You guys probably know where I'm going with this!
