Hopefully this link works.  I did it at night so you cant see the truck.  I just got it this weekend.  It is the first mod I have done.

Yes it is the 40 series.  Single in single out,  2.50 i believe.

Is that a regular 4.3 v6 or did you drop a v8 in it?

I am trying to decide what flowmaster muffler to go with, I am not sure how good it would sound on a v6...

No its just a reg v6 4.3L.  I have had the blazer for over a year almost 2 now and havent done anything to it yet.  So this past weekend I went and had it installed at a friends shop.  It cost me 140 for the tip and all.  Dont know if that was a good price or not but it was cool with me.  Next I want to put a cai on it but that will have to wait.

140?  Is that a full cat-back?  If so that was a steal.  Sounds awsome too.

I've been told the cats aren't really the problem but the y-pipe is, I'd say getting that modded first would really get it breathing easier.  Hopefully somebody else will post that knows more about it...

when I was there getting it put on another blazer was haveing the cat redone for the inspection test and he showed me the diff  between the old and new and he said something about these trucks cats have a prob falling apart in the inside are something like that and that I should change mine when I can since it has never been changed.

Again, may want to wait for another repost cuz I'm pretty clueless on that one...  But I would still recommend having your y-pipe looked at, when I was getting my exhaust put in the guy said he had to show me something and he brought me over to a half dented pipe that was letting through the same air as about a .75" tube.  I later had it replaced.; just a thought though.

was that a factory dent cause I thought I saw something like that too when he had it up.  up by the y pipe right.

I sure hope this one wasn't a factory dent cuz it was practically pinched off!  But I just had some of it spliced and replaced with some 2.5" piping.  I'm pretty sure mine was damaged and not stock, this dent was also on the bottom of the piping leading me to think even more that it was something that the undercarriage hit or was hit by.

well i was thinking about putting headers on after i get the cai but not sure if i will or not.  I plan on getting a new truck and since this one is paid for I could mess around with it alittle bit.

Here are a couple of more vids.

That sounds really good.  What all do you have as far as exhaust?  It doest sound like some of the other Blazers Ive heard with FM 40s.

Nothing just the flowmaster 40s and the tip.  It could just be the camera that I am using but I dont know.

Your probaly right about the camera.  Ive heard a lot of sound clips of LSx viechles and Ive heard a few in person and they dont sound the same.  Similar but not that same.

I wish someone would get a clip of the dynomax so I can make up my mind on what exhaust I want to go with.  I want something that is louder than stock and deep and throaty but I dont want something that is so loud Im going to get a headache cruiseing down the interstate at 80mph. But I dont want it so quite that I cant hear it.

Mine is not that bad inside the vehicle.  With the windows down I can hear it pretty good  but my audio system would give me a headache before my exhaust will.

there is a difference in the sound on that video. The difference is the video sounds like it was taken in a garage or something. The sound is echoing off of the walls. I've got a vid of mine outside and it is much quieter in an open area where it is not echoing. They all sound like that in parking garages, home garages, between buildings, etc. It does sound good though.

the only one that was close by or in the garage was the one when I was backing up into the garage.  The others were out in the open.  And thank you.

I SECOND THIS. I have no pipe after my 40 , its loud enough to set off alarms. But with the system going i cant hear anything even at 4k rpms.
