alright xblazer looks like your the resident stereo guy from what you can see in the pics any suggestions on where to mount the amps. im trying to stay away from mounting them on the box itself.

my box is almost that exact same size, mount the amp(s) to the little flaps on the back of the seat....thats what i did anyways..

well! your main option is of course on the side of the box but if you dont want to do that.

You could build a amp rack that you screw into the top of the box and elevate the amps about the subs at am angle.

Be sure to securely mount the amps onto the amp rack so vibrations dont cause it to fall over

you plan on metering it?? if so let me know how you did, because if i dont build the wall for the next setup i was thinking of making a box using aero-ports but i don't know if it will make a difference.

with the box i'm going with i thought about aero ports but i don't think it'd quite get the job done. with 2 18" subs, i think i'll have to go another route.

ya i plan on having it metered just have to find a place local to do it. got the subs and amps in today, sounds better than any other system ive had. ill let ya know on the metering

WOndering why you would put the ports on that side of the box. I am fromt he school of thought of putting speaker and port on same side so they are firing into the same airspace.

the person who designed the box for me said to do it this way. said i would have more cabin gain this way.

that will make it louder i believe b/c thats the same way im doing my setup except im doing slot ported with 3 15's facing up. it should get pretty loud. has something to do with the way the air bounces off the back wall and rolls around the roof....lol its complicated to explain

slot ports subs up ports back are best for blazers

this is called "CRX style" boxes. The slot will shoot the air into the tailgate which will push the air upwards along the slope of the back window directing the air to the front.

This all goes back to acoustic's of a vehicle

i'm just wondering what size rims you're riding, look like 22's, nice fit. i'm lookin into 22's myself, they say that's the biggest size it can go without rub, is that true?
