Looks decent, its just a factory replacement so it will have the same performance as factory fog lights unless you put in different bulbs. I would recommend either Sylvania Silverstar (regular silverstars or ultras) or some good PIAA lamps. First you would have to find out what type of bulb it takes and go from there.

^^^HAHAHAHAH!!! LOL
Yes Advance, Auto Value, Pep Boys, Autozone, your local 'hole in the wall' auto parts store, etc. should have a bulb for you. If you don't want to dish out a buttload of cash for the Silverstars, you can always go with Sylvania Cool Blue (which despite the name is a brilliant white bulb) which is about half the price and is a very good bulb.

Could they have just been out of them at the time you went? Checker is a subsidiary of Advance Auto. We have Advance down here and they carry the Silverstars, I don't know maybe different area different product. They are a pretty popular item. I haven't been to an auto parts store here that doesn't carry them, but that is here. Could be different in your area.

Otherwise you can also order them on the web, just google search Sylvania Silverstars and youll get their site or places that sell them. You can buy them on ebay (i did) but do your research on the seller cause sometimes they try to cheat you and give u used ones or whatnot.
Walmart wont carry them but Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, Checker,Napa, Pep Boys should have them in stock or be able to order them for you.

What kind of weird walmart's and checkers do ya all have around you guys? I got my first set of silverstars at walmart and ive gotten replacements from checker. Anyways beyond the point and off topic.
Like everyone has said just look at your local parts store and you should find them pretty readily available.

Walmart wont carry them
^^^
This is based upon what now? I know for a fact that Wal-Mart carries them.
Thanks Rcars, That's exactly my point!

I've got some PIAA Plasma GTX's in the little rectangular driving lights right under the spot lamps on my truck... And those little guys seem to light the road/wall (when close enough to) brighter than the standard 100 watt H3 in the big round ones...
Not sure how Silverstars will compare... Polarg and Raybrig are also good brands... But like PIAA, they're pricey, lol.

maybe they were just out but ill check again, i think its cuz were cheap down here haha i went to the walmart close to the bridge from mexico and they only have really cheap stuff for the demand there
anyways, i was reading a post from before and they mentioned luminics JDM yellow, any word on that

They havent had them at the Walmarts I have been to in Appleton,WI; Houghton,MI; or Indiana. Maybe the Walmarts I go to are just retarded or something.

I had the Luminics JDM yellow bulbs on my old Lumina, for the low beams, and they're great lights! I loved 'em

compared to the other brands u and others mentioned which did u like the best

I've never actually used Silverstars...
But PIAA, Polarg, and Lumincs are pretty swanky... My 55/66W Polarg H4's in my old S10, were the Shining Wizards, which ran a color temp of 6000k, lit up better than my brothers Silverstars on his 2002 Grand Prix...

any place special u get these bulbs? or do u just gotta get em off the net
drperry
6/30/2007 5:28:48 AM
I get them off the 'net, usually as PIAA bulbs are the only availiable ones, other than silverstars, and they are rediculously over priced, even for such a big name brand...

40 bucks will get you a full set(4) of cool blues at Advance.
drperry

The cool blues, look cool on your vehicle... But their actual lighting performance is fairly close to normal lights... They're a little better, but after trying them, if I wanted better performance from my lights, I wouldn't buy them...
EuroGoldLS
6/30/2007 5:14:05 PM
Well, If you want performance.... I have Raybrigs in my high beams that are the epitome of performance. If you are looking for a performance bulb, definately go with a high dollar bulb, but if you are after a pure white bulb, the best ones are a lot of time the cheaper ones.

alright after all of this ill probably be going for the silverstars, thanks just wanted everyone's input

Whatever you go for is your decision. Silverstars are good bulbs, but I though they were rediculously overpriced...
drperry

For the performance you get, Silverstars are a little expensive... I don't know about the Ultra's because they're even more expensive...
