My Blazer has 77K miles on it and the original shocks on it are not really doing their job as effeciently as they could be.  I was wondering what recommendations you all had for new shocks.  Mostly my driving is in town or interstate so I would prefer something tuned more for that instead of ones for more sereve terrain.  Something that would also handle well on curvy roads would be nice too. Thanks!

I had excellent luck with Monroe Reflex shocks.

I would agree with the thoughts on the bilstens and the monroe reflex shocks. I personally am probably going to get rancho since I will be off roading enough. I have the stock bilstens on my truck now and it has 135k miles on them, they sort of suck now so I will be upgrading suspension this fall but they were good through 125k miles.

I will admit that I probably don't need to replace them just yet but they are definitely getting to the point where you can feel every bump in road and depending on the size of the bump you can feel the Blazer bounce for a while before settling back down.  Thanks for the input.

I second that, although i have monroe magnums. If you do alot of towing, you might wanna look into them.

Yeah ususally you replace shocks every 60k-100k miles. Mine are original and going over railroad tracks and bridges at highways speeds I get the rocking boat motion front to rear. Plus my rear driver side shock is squeaking now.

I just did mine and replaced them with the ranchos, but then again I do go offroading frequently for shooting and other recreational activities.

Maybe I need to replace my original Bilsteins. They have 142,000 miles on them.
