Well, got in touch with one of my buddies from previous competitions, and got a very good deal on the following:
2-MD Napalm 15's
MA Audio HK4000d
Hopefully, when i get my electrical upgrades done, and build a new box i will be a little closer to a 150 (I hope)
Any one have any experience with any of this equipment?? the guy i bought the stuff off of did a 151.3 with it, but it was in  crx and he peaked at like 57hz...my box will probably peak at like 38-41hz lol so we'll see what happens...

the napalms are nice, just remember that if you blow them, they are basically paper weights. the 4000d is a very power hungry amp, if you need box ideas, let me know. i have a few for 15's layin around.

No most of the internet companies can all be reconed.  It's just a lot of the mainstream stuff can't.  I think Hillbilly is onto something.  Might want to sell the MD's while you can and get some subs that can be reconed later.

All the spl companies make recone kits, Treo, FI, DD, Atomic MMATS and etc.  Like the recone kit for my sub (for treo to do it) is 180.  a new SSX 18 would cost me well over a grand.

wouldnt you be louder if you used the grand to run like 10 Type R's?

A recone replaces all of the moving (soft) parts.  Cone, VC, spider, tinsel leads, basically the only thing that is original  is the Motor assembly, basket and the Dust cap.  Most companies offer a 1 year warranty on the recone. but they know that folks tend to over power them by twice, and then they blow.  If you have 700 bucks, sure, ill throw a American Bass VFL your way.

That is the VFL 150.1 ( currently have two)
