new here. this is cool. my Blazer ws born in 1988 of humble beginnings. I bought it in 2003 when it had 38k original miles. What a deal, I mean steal, I mean deal. It now has just over 50k miles. Everything original, except tires. I relpaced those in September, 2006. I left the spare on the rear, the shop said they couldn't remove it.
I would have replaced it if they could have. I love my Blazer.

Dave,
Thanks for the reply. This is my first forum connection. My Blazer takes me everywhere, holds everything. Multipurpose Utility Passenger Vehicle.

My wife has a 2001 Dodge Caravan Sport,
fun to drive, but too safe.

My Blazer has a spare tire hiding the tailgate. When I went in for new tires the kid told me that the spare had never been used and he could not get the bolt off to switch it out.
The tailgate has issues itself.

The keylock spins without the key, but won't unlock, or lock. Not so secure. Not sure what to do.
What part of Ohio do you live? I moved my family to Ohio for work and what a culture shock! My seven year old had separation issues with her grandmother and we had to move back to wyoming.
You'll probably have to get that spare tire's bolts drilled out to get the tire off and set new bolts in place. That really does make a problem if you ever need it.
welcome and hope to hear lots! :)

Congrats on the great deal, I mean steal....whatever it is. I think I'm gonna have to use my rear spare before too long, it's original and I'm afraid it's gonna rust itself into place as well. However I'm sure I'll need to replace the tire cover because it's so dry-rotted it's going to tear into pieces.
