Que pasa... Newbie from Birmingham AL here. I've owned my Blazer for just over a year, and during most of that time I was wrapped up in a mustang project but as its nearing completion for the most part I find myself wanting to "mod" the blazer.
I own a 1998 4dr 4.3 blazer. Only mods currently done is a 7" motorized touch screen dvd, 400w rms amp and two sony 10's in a home made box (dont laugh it does its job) carpeted in dark gray.
I bought it when I found out the wife and I were going to be first time parents, thinking I'd need all the extra space... It was a good decision. I'm looking to make it a bit faster and a bit lower and change its overall appearance w/out turning it into a useless show queen. It tows the occasional trailer as well as all my daughters stuff.
I know absolutely nothing about this engine other than its got 187ish k miles on it and will probably get rebuilt sometime at the end of this year. I plan on focusing on the outside first then the go fast parts.
First time here so I figured Id post and give you folks a shout.

Dont have any but my old speaker/stereo/amp setup atm. But I'll take a few of it this weekend. Its basicly a stock white 4door. But I <3 the damn thing anyway and when the mustang project finally wraps up I have great plans for it.

Believe it or not when at low volumes she enjoys jazz and classical alot. She giggles and coo's to Bob Marley and snoozes to Beethovan. On the rides to and from the Grociery store the local R&B station keeps her happy. She is very choosy musicly. If its not to her liking I've found she will fuss till the station is changed to something she likes. Its interesting as hell really. I almost felt like I was experementing on her when coming to this conclusion because I noticed she has a strong distaste for Ja-Rule, The Game, as well as anything Wayne Newton, John Denver (can you blame her). She also loves to listen to George Strait and Tim McGraw (gets it from her mother, only explanation I can think of there)
This was when she was 3days old. She's 6 months old and she's my angel.
But enough about my baby girl more on my blazer... I think she needs a ball joint on the Drivers side. How hard is replacement on this? Will I need a ball fork or is it something I should let the shop do? Also its slight... advise against waiting a month or two and getting a set of lowering springs, shocks/struts done at the same time?

True enough... it seems that even though I don't have anything against JD, I just never really cared for his work. However that song (along w/Lee Greenwoods "Proud To Be An American") is one that rings in every country boys heart. I will admit to enjoying it, largely inpart to the memories it evokes. Every time I hear that song I remember growing up on a farm. When your as old as I am (or as old as I feel =) )those days are fondly missed.
