Painting tow hooks - Page 2

What, no lift yet? lol I'm sure you will someday, so why not paint it chrome now! lol
 
I was thinking about finding some tow hooks from a junkyard (my blazer doesn't have any) anyway since reading this thread I thought... hmm If i do get tow hooks maybe i should paint mine too. So my question is if you had a dark metallic blue blazer what color would you paint the tow hooks (blue to match, black cause it's stock, or some other color)

I'm not even sure how much a lift would cost on a blazer, or if it would even be worth it since I'm saving up for another truck.
I think on a dark metallic blue Blazer, dark metallic blue would be an awesome color. I just installed my hooks today after painting them and next to the push bar they look really good. I was gonna match my hooks with my green, but I figured it might look kinda weird..
But yeah, towing hooks can come in really handy. And without them, the bumper looked kinda lonely.

Just be careful you bend them.

Damn, are those twisting?

Ouch, what were you pulling when you did that? lol

I was pulling a Jeep out of the mud. He burried up to the frame and had a 4" suspension lift and 35" tires. Needless to say he was stuck good. Bent up my tow hook, but we had a ball wheeling with them for the next couple hours.

Nice job on the tow hooks.

I would say just to pain them black because then they wont standout like crazy. I know mine look great now after painting them semigloss rustoleum black. I might be getting a carwash this weekend so I will take pics if I do.

I put 3 coats of black rustoleum primer and 3 coats of gloss black rustoleum.
I forgot to take pictures of them, but I'll take pictures tomorrow of them on the truck. They look great.
I'm also getting an AEM Brute Force air intake tomorrow, so I'm gonna take pics of that , too.
And my 4x4 decals :P
I'll put those on Saturday probably. It's too cold now to do it. I don't want them peeling.
And I gotta clean all the rock salt off my truck.
