My 1991 s10 4x4 has a worn pitman arm... I bought the new part, but i cant see how it comes off the gear box splines, because there is no clearance at all, the front cross member is right in the way.. There is about a half inch of space to work with.. no way can I get a puller on there.. so.. does the gear box have to be removed with the pitman arm? or is there something Im not seeing?
