*edit* oh yeah its a 1987 S10 Blazer with the V6 2.8L TBI and its a 4X4 and if it matters its an Automatic
What it does is it starts up fine when its cold runs for about a minute or 2 then starts stumbling and losing power. it revs all the way down so low the whole truck starts shaking then it stalls. if i hit the gas it will rev up fairly well and run ok. sometimes it surges if i do that.
also if i can get the rpms up to like 2000-3000 (guess as i dont have a tach) i can drive it. it will surge occasionally when accellerating but get up to speed. but if i let it go to idle it will stall almost immediatly.
I consulted my haynes and my chiltons. at first thought it was a MAP Sensor problem so i replaced that first, then thought it was a fuel injector problem so Replaced them. Now im thinking its a problem with my EGR/Exhuast manifold. i know my EGR went bad a few months ago and replaced it... there was a **** ton of carbon build up. cleaned up as much as i could but it was still fairly bad. so im thinking the carbon plugged the new egr valve and has now plugged up the manifold all together. im just not sure. i cant afford to pay someone to scan the computer for codes and i already tried to do the jumper thing but no dice there. does anyone have any ideas? im surviving on Social Security here so i cant afford a shop. If anyone lives near Seattle and has a code scanner or something and could help me that would be awesome.

*edit 2* talked to a mechanic at the autoparts store he said it "might" be my catalytic converter....
also if it would help i might be able to record what its doing with my camera and post it on you tube or something.

since i have worked in a repair shop i know how frustrating this is, first off just so you will know have someone listen to the catalytic converter if any rattling is heard that could be your problem. this would be cheapest fix just remove the converter and if it does no better go from there...

Check your TP sensor first then go with the EGR cat problems. Chiltons have pretty good how toos on checking sensors.
Nice choice of ride, lol
