I am thinking about buying an 01 blazer with 68,xxx. What should I expect form it? I hear that it may have transition problems with 2wd to 4 wd. It is from a dealer, so, it should have been serviced. I don't think anything is wrong with it. If it is in good working shape, how long should I expect to own it? Thanks.

I bought my 01 with 99K back in August and other then some maintance items and small <$15 part replacements it's been a great purchase.
I've got a couple of friends with 96's running over 225k miles with no issues except head gaskets at 180k on one.

I got my 01 with 101k on the clock and only issue I have had with it is the intake manifold gaskets, which I replaced a month after ownership, other than that I have had no problems and I am up at 122k on the clock and it runs strong as brand new!!!

I've had my 97 for 3yrs with 185k miles and no problems but with my trans(its a 5spd and I beat it up), ball joints are common fail areas on Blazers but easy and cheap to replace.

I bought a 99 with roughly 62k I cant remember. I have 74k now. I have replaced the Alternator(twice one out of warrenty), Fuel Filter, brakes, and battery. I understand most of those are normal wear items. I was also told by my mecanhic I should repalce the oil cooler lines. My dad has a 93 Sierarra 4.3l he told me these cost him roughly $200. I guess 4x4 blazers have 4 lines he had 2. Other than that no huge problems. The interior sucks though. I wish I would have spent more and got a 1/2 pickup or like I really wanted a ML class Benz.
