Anyone know how to get the mirror portion off the power mirror housing? Our 3 yr. old decided the mirrors were a kewl set of monkeybars and snapped my passenger side mirror off... so I guess I'mma hit the scrap yard and pickup a couple new shells and replace them both because the driver's side is cracked too.... but I don't wanna have to pay for motors and all since mine are good....:/
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't know if you can separate them, I'm sure there is a way. When you hit the scrap yard they are not likely going to sell the mirror separate from the housing. If you have to buy the whole shabang they are easy to change.

I don't believe that you can replace the mirror separately. Remove the door trim panel, remove the 3 access hole plugs, remove the 3 nuts and pull the mirror housing out to access and disconnect the electrical connector.
If you do manage to replace the mirror only, let us know.

buy a mirror housing thingy from a junk yard and if it has no mirror in it, you should be able to get a good look at how it all works on the insides
