Ok so I've been looking at shaving the handles on the blazer, and I have found a new kit by AVS. I have never heard of AVS have any of you?? They say its a bolt-in shave door handle kit for 94-03 S10, Blazer, and Sonoma. Here is a

Interesting concept... I'm not sure I'd do it... but I'd love to see it done!

Looks like an economical and easy install. Still have to weld the handle openings shut and all associated body/paint work, but atleast all of the electronics are covered.
I have often thought of grabbing a set of handles from the junk yard and smoothing them out. Getting rid of them completely would be even better, but I don't have the money to pay for the paint work or for that kit, LOL.

agree with u completely....it may be a bolt on kit but u still have to fabricate the metal to weld over the holes from the old handles and then have it painted.

I know Id have to weld, etc. I just have never heard of them and was wondering if any of you have.

u have to take out the handles, and then cut out or put metal over the hole weld the metal on, and then do some body work.. u put the door popper kit, so u can open the doors.. they sale that kit anywere....... thats what iam going to do..... easy any one can do it i think

Having looked at some of the sites that offer the shaved handles kits, I might consider adding just a door popper to my driver's door. Would come in handy if you're carrying a bunch of bags or something. One of the sites had the poppers for $15.99.
