Is it a 2wd or 4wd as the pictures you removed suggested?
The truck looks fairly nice. Not a bad price either. The tick in the motor could be a lifter not pumping up properly (among a host of other things). The P1870 is mostlikely being caused by a sloppy bore on the TCC control valve, but again, could be a number of things.

It is 4wd. I didn't think the price was bad just wasn't sure if it was worth it being the problems it has. Do you think the TCC control valve is expensive to replace?

Doing it with an aftermarket kit, not really. But doing it right with an aftermarket kit is pretty difficult. The other fix is a replacement valve body as referenced in the TSB I posted in the P1870 Explained thread.

Thats a fairly clean 2 door for that price. With a little money into it, it should run for a very long time. So in my opinion I feel that an initial 2500 for the truck and at most $1000 to fix everything, thats still only blue book. And that is a good price.

Yea, I just don't really need it ya know. I'm wanting a cheap car that gets good gas mileage but i seen this. Just not sure if i should jump on it or try to find a car...

I don't know if this is legal but you could flip it if you don't like it. Put the extra money in and get it fixed and then sell for the BB value and get a car you like

If you like it buy it. You can offer $2000 settle at $2200 it's worth a try. A 4x4 truck is worth the price IMO. A new one is $30,000+. I paid more than I should of for ours but we like it, We paid cash for it so no payments, no high insurance, or high license fees.

Yea maybe you're right. A good 4wd would be good to have around.

Is it just me or are the backseats switched? Aren't the lay-down latches on the outsides? And as nice as a 4x4 is, do you need one or a good gas mileage car? Because I love my Blazer, but good gas mileage and it shouldn't be said in the same breath.

Haha yeah gas mileage on these blazers isn't the best at all!!! Well i would rather have something that gets good gas mileage considering i drive about 100miles a day. Just figured if i could get this cheap i might get it then trade it in.

The latches to lay the seats down are not reversed, that is how they are on the 2door model as they only have a 2 person backseat, which is different from the 4door models with a 60/40 bench.
Yeah a 4x4 is good to have, but with the gas prices being what they are (and where they will probably go) an economy car would be better off for driving that distance daily.
