Very nice.  It was white/yellow before was it not?

Yeah, a very dim, white light from the halo.

The LED's themselves are pretty bright, but they just weren't big enough, I guess... They're like 1/2 to 1/4 the size of the loose LED's I replaced them with.

edit:

After looking at the LED's while they're on (ouch! bright!) the original LED's appear to be 1/2 as bright, or less, as well, lol.

I might have to rig up something to change the LED's easier, if the police don't like them....

I ordered some different color LED's...

White and green...

Pure blue isn't the best idea... If I got talked to by the police for non-flashing license plate lights on the back of my truck... I'm sure I'll have issues with these on the front

Especially since they flash! lol

Yeah they finally got you for those LED's on the rear plate. Darn! It looks so sweet, but I pulled mine out too and put the white ones back in, and then the next 2 days I had 2 cops following close behind me at night, so I was glad I took the blue LED's out.

I had cops follow me before, but they never did anything about them... I guess since I wasn't driving like an idiot they were being nice... And they could easilly see my plate, lol.

I was warned about 'em going through a check stop, and was like "I'll change them as soon as I get home, I've got the originals in the glove box, just in case."

Yeah I had the originals in the glove box too. Ready to pull them out and just say I was experimenting with a different type of bulb.

I want your lenses :)  What LED's did you order?
drperry

Green and white...

And I'm not letting go of the lenses until I find some projectors that fit, and they come with clear lenses

I think I have to go S2K or TSX...

I'm getting some aftermarket lenses anyways, but I could use a spare set maybe.  Glad to see you got your housing apart, I need to bake mine tonight.
drperry

I baked it for a good 10 - 15 minutes at 195....

I'd have done 200 but my lenses are plastic, lol.

gotta get the glue to really soften up.

do the lenses of a first gen come apart similar to that of the 2nd gen? i was thinking of having halos and have them wired to a switch to turn them on and off cuz i think blue ones would look tight w/ a lil bit of angle to them.

All warm and squishy, right?

The warmness coming from the fires of hate, of course.

First gen headlights are sealed beams.

Meaning, if you open your headlight, it won't work anymore...

Looks nice.  Cops should bother you much, the Halos on my Z are Blue and my buddies R1 as well and we have never had issues.

Blazers with a stock 4.3L can't out run a cop car

Off-road isn't much help, as we've got 4x4s on crew... a 2007 F150, a 2003 3/4 Crew Cab chevy, and a 2008 Diesel F350 Crew Cab.
