I called it a knock, lol.
Never did figure out what was causing it... Until now, I suppose
Ahhh well, live & learn, and buy extended warranty, lmao.

I might be in luck!
Talked to a salesman today, and apparently I purchased the GMPP Total Plus Warranty

That would be good news. I also like the pun in your new signature. I hope you can get it fixed with that warranty cause that would suck to have to fix it yourself. Although a V8 would be nice.

As much as I'd like a V8...
Paying a $100 deductable is so much nicer right now

I agree, gotta do what makes sense financially so that you can get back on the road.

It's just a question of how long it's going to take them to get it done, lol.

Gonna drop it off at the shop on saturday, so it's there for 8AM monday morning...
I work nights, so, yeah, early morning is bad, lol.
It's gonna cost me $100 to fix it...
Not sure how long it's gonna take, though... Hopefully they can tell me Tuesday.

What are you driving now?

Woo hoo! I'm glad it worked out for you! Do you know what they are doing? Entire new engine or just a new bottom end?

Glad you are getting it fixed, and don't have to spend a bunch out of pocket money. You getting a new engine or just lower part?

No clue... Gotta get it down to the shop by 8AM monday morning.... Might get it down there friday, or saturday, just so I can hand the keys to a service person... Since 8AM is... Early
Currently, I'm not really driving anything... Sometimes I get to borrow the parents' Rondezvous, or the bros Grand Prix...
This is straight from the GMPP page on the GM Canada website:
"
Alternative Transportation
Total 'Plus' will pay the cost to rent a replacement vehicle or for public transportation (some limits apply) when:
- Two or more manufacturer's labour time guide hours are required for the repair, or
- Your vehicle is not drivable and must be kept overnight "
So we'll see... Maybe I'll get something swanky to drive, lol.
Though, if they try shoving me in an Aveo... I'll have to tell them no... When they ask why... "I don't fit."

Don't feel bad. I don't fit in my GFs Cobalt, much less an Aveo!

Cobalts are actually somewhat comfy for me... I'm only 6 feet tall
I doubt I'll get a vehicle to drive... As much as I'd like a nice crew cab 5.3L....
Or borrow the Solstice GXP, one of the two Z06's or Cobra, that're in the used show room

lol ya they dont rent out used cars lol unless ur planning on buying them then u can take em over night. atleast thats how it works at my lexus dealership. they have their own set of rental vehicles so i'm sure its the same as GM and they will prolly be regular sedans like a impala, cobalt, or somethin or one of the suv's

Yeah, I know, lol.
But I can always hope!
Not that I'd want to drive a Cobra this time of the year...

Hey glad you aren't loosing the Blazer, though. I'm curious, what mileage did your motor crap out at? My '00 has 115K on it and runs beautifully. Just replaced the oil cooler lines cause they were leaking. Thought mine had a very minor motor tick but it was the PCV valve...weird.
Oh and, your signature pun is funny. Especially since just today I found a website that sells 4.3 supercharger kits to get you up to 337 HP.
drperry

64,599 km
or
40139 miles
or
321119 furlongs
WolfPack

Could someone translate that to leagues or chains? I don't understand furlongs..
