So I let my girl take the Blazer...

I let her take it for a week, seeing as it's partly hers as well (we both make payments on it but it's my name on the title) and the first thing she does is back it into a cement pillar in a parking lot... It doesn't look too bad just cracked the plastic bumper on the rear driver side and possibly bent the rear metal bumper, it rise's up to the left a little now... the tailgate still opens fine though. so i'm not too worried about fixing anything right away (that and it's too cold), just a little upset... This is the second time she has done a little damage to the blazer... the other was a nice long scratch along the pinstripe on the passanger side... she said there was a wooden marker that she didn't see, that one was about a month or so ago... at least it blends in with the pinstripe... I'll post pics when I get them.... Oh well I must love her more than the truck otherwise... well I think you guys know

omg...my boyfriend was driving my LS & backed over the marker in my driveway. Didn't do any damage, thank God, bc the thing was so scrawny, but... I'm not so sure I'll let him drive it again anytime soon lol
I know if I did anything...ANYTHING...to his Celica GT, he'd be mega pissed, so you must really like that girl lol

I let my girl drive my truck once and it was only because it snowed and I didnt want her wrecking her car since it was 2wd. But since the lift was done, she is banned from ever using my truck..lol...

I'm so funny about anyone driving my truck because i dont want to worry about them damaging it. it just saves me the aggrevation. if i do the damage, i got no one but ME to deal with. But i've let two friends drive it... one because i had gotten sick and just couldnt drive home. and the other was on a long trip with me in the truck, we swapped off on driving.
but thankfully no issues!

Yeah I'm the same way... I'd rather it to be my fault than anyone else... and when I'm too sick/tired to drive I'm always cringing in the passenger seat... frantically looking out the window for any obstacle that the driver might overlook... We have to protect our Blazers.lol

I'm the same way too. I'd a whole lot rather it be me than anyone else. I had a girl lay her shoes on my hood at a party, and I reckon she found them in the tree later... that left a nice little abrasion. I backed into the golfcart not long ago. Scuffed the clearcoat a bit on the back bumper and busted my receiver cover brake light into a billion peices.
The most pissed I ever was was when some fool backed into me at the Bojangles in Princeton left a nice dent on the right side of the rear bumper. I didn't have the money to fix it, so its still there. May replace it with a nice rollpan.

Yeah I try not to let anyone drive it. Unless my dad is trying to pinpoint a noise or issue with it, and then I am sitting in the passengers seat. Otherwise the exgirlfriend drove me to the clinc once when I was dopped up on antibiotics and couldnt drive that far in the snow and hills at school. Luckily she never wanted to drive it again since it was so truck like. Otherwise I am the only driver and so far am the only person who has damaged it, except the person who backed into the back corner of my drivers side bumper in the parking lot and then drove off after denting it real good.

Ok Im not the only crazy one...everyone makes fun of me about how protective I am. Only people to drive mine on the road is my parents, one of my buddies has drivin it into our garage, and I owe another friend a test drive b/c she let me drive her civic. It will stricly be limited to an open parking lot though

I am terrified everytime my wife takes the car, but its ok. If she is going to wreck I would rather it be in the Blazer then in her POS little car.

You know Mr. Bojangles...he jumped so high he lost his shoes...he liked to dance for me...HA AH HAAHAHAHAHA
I have no issues with other people driving my truck...as long as I'm not forced to be the passenger...I hate the passenger seat in MY truck...it's so weird...every things on the wrong side...the radio is even pointed away from me...ha ha ha ah.....my truck was used when I got it...a telephone pole..a tree...my friends jeta wagon...a guardrail...umm....all things I have hit with the blazer...she doesn't look too worse for wear...as far as other people crashing it...that's why I have full coverage insurance on the truck...worst that happens is the insurance company writes me a huge check towards a new vehicle!!

Ahhh don't worry, it gets worse when you get older and have kids.
Here's a little sample for you of when the kids borrow moms' truck for the weekend.

eh let the wife drive my '94 cause her astro sucked in the snow, she then laid claim to my truck so I offed the astro and got a typhoon...I don't mind her taking over my 94 at all now lol (tho my 15 y.o sold insists he is learning to drive in my new toy....AS IF!) told him to get the engine for his truck done cuz he isnt ever gonna know what the driver seat of mine feels like as long as im alive lol

My blazer law : Under no circumstances will anyone drive my blazer, if I am intoxicated leave me inside to pass out till morning, if I am medically unabel to drive my blazer I shouldn't need to drive while I lay in bed!!!!!! I just don't let anyone drive my blazer, so many have offered money to drive it but I still refuse cause no one has the money to replace my blazer if it is destroyed!!

lol and that is why (if I have children) the children will never be driving any of our cars without 1 of the adults in it. If they want a car to take out by themselves, they will have to buy their own, pay insurance on it, gas it up, and take care of repairs........just like I had to.

I don't have to worry much... Not many of my friends know how to drive stick... And the ones that do, I'd trust with my truck... For short trips in the summer, anyway, lol.
That might change once it gets an extra two cylinders and an extra gear (I doubt the trans is gonna hold up...)
But then, nobody's gonna drive the car I'm probably gonna get while my Blazer gets modded

It's just a piece of metal that can be repaired. Things happen....concrete posts can jump out and attack a vehicle without warning!

ya i'm pretty touchy w/ my blazer too dont let anyone drive it (cept my girl that one time) only my dad when hes tryin to diagnose a problem w/ it. ppl call me crazy for bein so touchy w/ my blazer cuz its a lil rusty and their like its a POS and i'm like well then its my POS blazer even tho i dont think its a POS it just needs some work thats all. i've had a bunch of crap done to my blazer that in the end the other persons car didnt run LOL that taught them to mess w/ me (aka disconnected starter or other parts to their car, one guy i even put a locking gas cap on his car LOL that was fun!) cuz they would put crap on my blazer or stuff things up the tail pipe or burry it in snow and wrap it in caution tape.
i was really pissed once when i had it parked at school went like an hr away on a bus for a tennis match came back to school at like 9/10 at night changed at school and left right away (only saw the driver side of my blazer that night) next morning walk out to my blazer to find a crazy messed up dent in the passenger side door. i was like WTF!!!!!!!! ooo i was sooooo pissed!!! i still have no idea who/what did it or how it even could have happend
