Oh I know it's just a cement post and a piece of metal... But it's annoying because the damage isn't enough to justify fixing it, and if I don't fix it, it's going to keep staring at me, mocking me... That and the cement post was beyond the parking space (at the edge of the parking lot)
 
BlueKnight I know how you feel about door dings (I also love the idea of putting a locking gas cap on someone's car lol I may have to borrow that idea)... although from the sound of it seems it must've been a pretty big ding... My mom's bonneville was parked in her driveway and at some point through the night someone decided it was a good idea to throw the 40 bottle at her car, left a nice ding with the bottle outline in the passenger's door... some people just don't care about what they do...    Another time when i was working at a local amusement park (Kennywood) I found a nice little ding in my door... I assume some little brat was too eager to get to the park to care about the swing of the door... oh well like Chevy Lover said... "It's just a piece of metal..."

i let my girl drive mine once in a blue moon.  none of my friends drive it and my parents have only drove it once in 2 years and that was because they was doing something to really help me out. when my girl drives it she is super nervous because she know how i am and she couldn't afford to fix something if she did mess up. i paid for it so if i mess it up its only my problem.

cars are expendable...they crash...they get dings...bah! Things happen....I guess I grew up with an auto mechanic teacher for a dad...you buy a car for a few hundred..fix it up..sell it a few months later for a profit...my blazer is the first vehicle I've owned longer than a year and a half since I was 16....and if something happened to here tomorrow...I'd just get me a new one..(well used..) besides...dings add character..you'll allways remember what you were doing when ya get em...and ya can make up exciting stories..like a bear took a swing at your bumper..that's why it's all dented...yeah.....
