I was over Circuit city tonight buying my box for my JL AUDIO 15 inch sub and their w as a 1200 watt sony expload or wutever over their for 200 bucks should i go get it because my sub can go up to 850 or somethen my brother said but it doesnt hurt to get a 1200 watt amp now does it??

Yea it 1200 Amp its over at my circuit city store so it will always be their. are they good?

The only thing worse than Sony car audio is knock-off Sony car audio. Take my word for it, Ive got experience with car audio. Sony is complete junk. It doesnt put out nearly what its rated and it sucks the life outta your battery. Go find an MTX or old school Orion amp on ebay. Youll spend way less, and get way more.

i have a 4 channel 3000W MTX comp amp..and it has been in and otu of a bunch of cars, and friend many-a-speaker...

Dont go with Sony. They make good cd players but their amps suck! Go with Rockford Fosgate, Memphis, or kicker. Those are the best!!!!

Thats totally worth the price. Just get the ESP warrenty for like 3 years and if it has some problems sell it. I've had several sony car audio products and the decks were pure doo doo. The Amps were good stuff. The price makes it worth it.

the decks are better than the amps....... and the decks still suck really bad. even though its cheap, it is NOT worth it by any stretch of the imagination.

I have to agree with Ryan...I know some people are Sony fans, but I work at an electronics place and everyone that works in the car audio dept. all say to stay away from Sony period. I stay away from Sony products in general, except for TV's...and even then I got the extended warranty.

I work at the CC roadshop, read the tag on the sony amp....it states 500 Watts....junk...i refuse to sell that stuff......for that JL sub, id suggest (from what we sell) either the audiobahn 8000t(or the 8002t, depends on the ohmage and how many subs you have) or the MTX MXA8001 (might not carry that anymore though)
