how important are the ball joints? i have had pitman arm idler arm, inner and outer tie rod ends replaced but do i need ball joints now. all it does is pop when i turn the wheel. any advice. and could i have done all this work my self or would i have needed speical tools. thanks

wouldnt hurt to replace ball joints.. also, check your control arm bushings. These could cause the pop sound when you turn the wheel..

Arn't CVs the more likely culprit if you have popping while turning?

i had the CV's replaced allready.
