Ah, welcome to the world of lifting on the cheap. Ok, about the only option you got here is the following, but as I've warned countless people this can cause premature front end wear, so here we go.
To start with get a body lift. 2 inches right there, fairly easy to do, no front end wear, and it costs under $300. Next, and this is where you can get wear on the front end if you dont grease things, tighten your torsion bar adjustment bolts about 5 full turns for about 1.5" or so of lift in the front. For the rear get an add-a-leaf kit or buy or build some shackles for cheap. If ya do it right you should be well under $500.
For more details on what is involved use the search feature on the forum or shoot myself or Jigg a PM.

so theres no way to find a suspension kit because to me that would be a whole lot easier. if not how long do you think it would take to do all that stuff?

Well you other alternative is the superlifts 2" lift kit, but to me thats a waste of $$ and you can just do what Rcars2 said. But if you really want a suspension lift check out summit racing, synergy offroad, superlifts.com and so on. You can always do a body lift too which is easy.

I originally wanted a Zr2 blazer, but just ended up getting a 2 door blazer with 4wd. I've also been looking at lift kits, was about ready to go buy a body lift. But i'd rather go with a suspension lift, even though they are much more expensive. But im also interested in cranking the torsion bar(s) if that doesn't do any harm to your truck?

i belive cranking the torsion bar more than 2 inches puts wear on the front end but dont quote me. i asked a similar question when i first registered in the forum

cranking the tbars is a suspension lift. its just a pretty way of cranking the tbars and new springs in the rear. they both cause suspension wear. i would go with the body lift

heres your sticky.
stock rig- up to 30" tires
2" lift body or suspention - 31" tires
6" suspension lift 32"-3" tires depends on wheels and backspacing.
Suspension lift is preferred, however you aren;t gaining any travel and it is costly, plus requires cutting and welding in most cases.
Cranking hte torison bars eats suspension, steering parts. Cost big bucks over time to relace them all. Ball joints, tierods, etc.
Body lift is the biggest bang for the buck. However 3" is max legally and wont get you a bigger tire then a 2" body lift.
Most cost effective, 30" tires.
Is it worth $600 to get a 2" suspension lift to fit a 31" tire?
Is it worth $100 (OBS) or $300 (NBS) to get a 2" body lift to fit a 31" tire, which is only 1/2" more ground clearance then a 30" tire.
6" is close to $1700 plus installation and 33" tires, which is 1.5" more ground clearance then a 30" tire. There is the cool factor though.
SAS- solid front axle swap- $$$$ this is the best bang for the buck and tire size is no limit.
Here is a pic of a S10-Blazer on 53" tall Michelin tires. As you can see, this isn't a stock rig anymore. If you look close he has 2 1/2 ton military axles under that truck. Each axle weighs 670 pounds. No doubt he has a V8 stuffed under the hood too. This is where a S10-Blazer has the advantage over a Jeep. Ain't no way your getting 53" tires under a Jeep with a wheel base of 93". To get a big tire under a Jeep you have to stretch it out to 100"-103", by the way a 2dr S10-Blazer wheel base is 100.5" and a 4dr is 107". and its just as much work to swap axles under the heep as it is the S10. The advantage of the S10 is a fully boxed frame, and a V* SBC will bolt up to your 4.3 tranny.

Actually believe it or not that guy is running those rockwells with the stock engine trans and transfer case. Hes a member at pirate4x4.com (well used to be, he got banned for a stupid reason but thats beyond the point) and posted up the whole build for that monster. If i can find a link to that post I'll put it up here. The 53's in that pic he had on for a photoshoot but normally he runs 44's if IIRC.
