taking off the lower valance

hey,  would taking off the lower valance help with off road clearance?

I suppose it would a lil if one was about to go up/down something... but then the tow hooks/fog lights would be the next thing in the way.

Yea approach angle is the only thing I see it changing.  Although most of the time you'd remove the valence so it doesn't get cracked...think about getting pulled out of a mud hole in reverse...that valence is going to rip right off

do you have skid plates? Oh and lets see some pics when you do..lol

Doesn't look entirely terrible.  It won't win any prizes, but it won't look like you just wrecked it or anything. 

My buddy at work has a 97 blazer and removed his front valence...I'll see if I can't snag a pic for ya sometime this week.

Most everyone that has done a bit of playing offroad has either cracked or completely broken the valance off.  Its only a matter of time when it will happen.  I busted mine up the first time I went offroad and trimmed the outsides off but now the whole thing is off as I have continually cracked more and more of it.

yea I am already on my second lower valance.  I broke the first one pretty bad the first time I went off roading. I would really like to see some pics of your friends 97 blazer.  Is it expensive to get a brushguard and skid plates?
