Thats nice, I watched it for about 10 minutes....
Kind of a mind-f*** if you ask me.
I don't get it, aside from the fact that the vid is both disturbing and boring, what have we really learned? Most rational people understand that evolution did and does occur, most rational people understand there are horrible people on this Earth who do horrible things to other people, but does that really mean there is no God?

I was wondering when the Blazer Family would happenstance upon religion and such...
...I watched most of the movie, taking most of it with a grain of salt. The most I can say is this:
It's ironic that they write off Christianity as a plagiarizing recreation of myths throughout history. At the end of the movie they talk about the Federal Reserve being behind everyone being 'chipped', and if people go against them, they'll just turn off their chip. I take this to mean that if someone disagrees with whatever the 'ruling party' of the time is doing, they'll cut off their livelihood-their ability to buy/sell/trade. Here's the ironic part. The Bible, that is supposedly a "rip-off of myths throughout time," actually warns of this in Revelation 13:16-17:
"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17 so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name."
People have been giving me quizzical looks for years with my comments about how things are going in the world today. When they started with the Euro, I said "It's only a matter of time before we have one money system for the whole world." Then they started changing our bills to have bigger faces, and introducing more colors, etc. How much are we going to care/notice when the whole 'Amero' money system starts here? How many people don't carry cash anymore? I rarely ever do, debit is easy for me because it doesn't 'burn a hole in my wallet'. You can use debit/credit nearly EVERYWHERE now! I tell people, "It won't be too long until we're all carrying a 'debit card' under our skin in the form of a chip. People would LOVE to have all of their information in one spot so they wouldn't have to carry around money, or ID's, or CC's or anything!"
Ever hear of the boiling frog story? (DISCLAIMER : I'M NOT CONDONING CRUELTY TO ANIMALS) If you were to bring a pot of water to a boil and throw a frog in it, he would try his darndest to jump out because DANG that's hot! BUT, if you were to put a frog in a pot with room temperature water in it, and ever so slowly increase the temperature, chances are he might not even notice and actually die by boiling to death.
I'm not saying I agree that 9/11 was an 'inside job'. However I believe that human beings can be pretty nasty creatures if left to their own device and wouldn't put it past us as a species to 'sacrifice' some for the benefit of a few.
I still don't understand the connection they were trying to make between religion and 9/11 though...

I don't know why you bothered personally.
I don't expect Kyle will let this thread remain unlocked for very long. If it hasn't already gone too far yet, it will at some point.
I personally have been victimized by "well meaning" Christians in my life time, and I've found things in the Bible that don't make sense, and am aware of its flaws and contradictions. The way I look at it, you are better off doubting the Bible than you are doubting God.

I'd rather not discuss my religious preferences. I am a Christian and will not deny it.

Right in Two by Tool
Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they're all confused.
Don't these talking monkeys know that
Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys,
Where there's one you're bound to divide it.
Right in two.
Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason.
And this is what they choose.
And this is what they choose...
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey
Over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs,
They forge a blade,
And where there's one
they're bound to divide it,
Right in two.
Right in two.
Monkey killing monkey killing monkey.
Over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs.
They make a club.
And beat their brother, down.
How they survive so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant is a creature who would squander
the ability to lift an eye to heaven,
conscious of his fleeting time here.
Cut it all right in two
Cut it all right in two
Cut it all right in two
Cut it all right in two
Fight over the clouds, over wind, over sky
They fight over lies, over blood, over anger and rage,
Fight over love, over sun,
over night, they fight till they die,
over one, for their lives beginning.
Angels on the sideline again.
Been so long with patience and reason.
Angels on the sideline again
Wondering when this tug of war will end.
Cut it all right in two
Cut it all right in two
Cut it all right in two
RIGHT IN TWO!
Right in two...

Touchy subject........but the song by Tool does a have a nice ring of irony too it. Personally, none of this bothers me, I'm a nihilist (anyone seen The Big Lebowski?!)j/k lol! I don't know any better than anyone else as far as what this world is all about, but I would have to say before this thread gets out of hand that we should probably just drop the subject. I would hate to see any of us brawl with each other over this when we get along so good here despite our beliefs and practices.

Really what does it matter? Movies are movies... This is just another movie. Nothing more, nothing less.
I don't have a problem keeping this thread open so long as everyone remains civil.

That was my idea, just for logical discussion.
