Is it true that the province of Alberta is completely rat-free?  I know that is kinda off the wall, but I was reading somewhere that there are no rats in Alberta....

I've never seen one... There's probably some in Edmonton or Calgary... Heck, probably some in Grande Prairie too, but not a whole bunch...
 
A good amount of mice, though, lol.

man  honestly i think this is a sign that you read way too much and read weird material. try reading something with useful info, like a comic book or mini trucking or even playboy. lol

It's true, we're rat free.. Only rats here are domesticated ones that people have as pets

Only Zoos, College/Universities and research facilities are allowed to have rats, lol.

really!? im 99% sure the petstore 3 blocks away from me sells rats regularly.
 
and im next door in SK and ive never seen a wild rat.....shrews, mice, coons and the like yes.
 
Im liking Perry's idea about the rabbits
