my '88 blazer v6 will not start ... i tried jumping it and charging the battery the battery is fairly new..... does anyone have any suggestions if so it would be much appreciated

does it try an crank, whats happening? what exactly happend when it wouldnt start?

well when it is being jumped and i turn the key the belt turns a bit and then it stops and theres no more power left in the battery... doesnt seem like the engine ever actually turns over

Check your battery connections. Take the terminals completly off and see if there is any corrosion. Take your battery to an auto parts store and have them chack it to make sure it is good. After that, if all tests fine, put an amp guage on the positive cable going to your starter and have someone crank it over while you watch the guage, if the guage pegs out, or is over 200 - 250 amps the starter is bad. Let us know....
