Looking for some advice. I need to change the front driver's side turn signal lamp. How do access the bulb?

we really need to know more about your blazer. Atleast the year. I am unsure if the trim level has anything to do with the design of your blazer without knowing what year it was.

Anyway, the turn signals should be relatively straight forward to change. Look around for screws straight in on the front end. I don't have much experience with a wide range of blazer years like some of the other guys here do, but we can only speculate until we know more about your vehicle.

If you plan on doing any other more involved replairs on your blazer yourself, you really should invest in a Haynes or Chiltons manual, at the very least. If you have more money to spend, Helm Inc. has factory service manuals that will have MUCH more indepth explainations and better information all around.

Interesting, I was looking at the Helm website and I don't see a shop manual for a '96 blazer. HERE is the page I was looking at.

For 1996 (and possibly other years), you need to select S10 Pickup/Blazer instead of S10 Blazer.

Here's the link to the 1996 S10 Pickup/Blazer/Jimmy/Bravada Shop Service Manual - $135 +s/h/tax

The above link is just straight to the shop manual set which includes electrical & emissions... Here's the complete listing for All 1996 S10 based vehicles
