Curious if anyone could give me a price range for the swap? It's possible I may be getting a motor from my friend. He has a 5.7L 350, which was rebuilt so its "bored out" to get clean cylinder walls again, so that adds 5 cubic inches or so makin it a 355, doesnt really increase the power, just freshin's it up. he has stock heads, high rise intake, regular size carb, basically he has a mild 355, almost stock.. after doing the heads/headers I was thinking about putting in this supercharger that I found locally that will work with the small blocks.. (
http://vancouver.craigslist.org/pts/262671121.html ) what would I need to do to my blazer? I was doing some research and it seems I would need to do the following:
Engine
Engine mounts
Headers
Electric fans
Harness and computer.
I can get the engine for pretty cheap, and im pretty sure I can find everything else for cheap and can I get the harness and computer from like a v8 truck or something? I wouldn't be doing this swap obviously.. so let me know what you guys think is possible and how much I would be looking at ballpark figure.. thanks.

umm, i'm pretty sure you can get the motor mounts and headers in a package deal. i've been looking at pretty much the same stuff since buying an ls1 to put in a 99 s10. and i'm pretty sure you can find a cpu from a wrecked truck at a graveyard.

I have read countless threads on here using the search funtion and have seen prices ranging from $1500 - 6000! If anyone can help me, I wanna know what I will need to do in order to get a 350 in my blazer, and how much it will end up costing. Thanks!

Is your blazer fuel injected or carb? going to look over the articles. beacuse I'm just lacking in power badly with the tires I am currently running on my blazer when I tow anything.

Seems like there is quite a bit to do, what would be the cost to do all that? why is that one carb and not fuel injected?

Not sure, It appears to be for only the older 4.3 and not the newer models. Could be wrong. But in the one article is said something about 89-92 or 91 model 4.3. Wouldn't be bad to know if it would work with the newer 4.3. If so it might be easier than doing a swap. Depending on if you could do it yourself or if you would have to have a garage do it.
