I have a 89' s10 Blazer 4x4 with the 4.3L. Im trying to find out what type of Transmission is in it and can a chevy 350ci bold up to it?

You have the 700R4/4L60. And yes, the bolt pattern is the same between the 4.3L v6 and the 5.7L v8.

on this note i think my engine is on its last knee, how much is the 350 v8 and is it simple bolt in like a weekend job, or dose it require welding and such???

If you look it up you have to buy a conversion kit for the v8 to fit in. I think it bolts up to the old motor mounts. I havent bought mine yet but going to me soon.

google JTR (Jags that run). they sell an S10 V8 swap manual that answers all your questions. The manual is like $20, worth every penny.
