I am waiting on some parts as well.
New valve body, tranny gasket, and tranny rebuild manual for my '87 700R4.
The repair manual will cover the '93 4L60 tranny rebuild as well. Which I plan on doing next. Well right after I swap engines in the '93 to get it running.

Hanr3, Do you know the in lb torque specs for the tranny pan bolts? I've got some weeping on 1 side of the pan.

Oil Pan to Transmission Case Bolt 97 in.lb
Damn, I wonder if we (I) didn't nick the gasket on the way back in the second time? I was careful not to overtorque the bolts...

Thanks for the info Kyle.
I don't think there's any damage. When I was under there again installing the servo upgrade I noticed the pan wasn't tight on a corner and the pass side. (gasket was moveable/ loose w/ finger.) I picked up a 85-150 inch lb torque wrench when I did the Impala work. I going to do the tranny pan bolts today.
After the PCM had to relearn shifting (4th piston servo is huge,) It really does hold! While driviing w/ traffic slowing down to 30 mph then some throttling to accelerate it stayed in 4th gear. The tach showed 900 rpm at 30+/- mph while on the gas.
Then I got up to 55 mph. It hung around 1700 rpm at 55 mph, which it always has been because of gearing.

Damn, now you're tellin' me I've gotta send my hand in for calibration! It has been a while since I've sinched down a trans pan! Sorry 'bout that.

No harm done being conservative. They were all under 45 in lbs. Including the bracket bolts. I torqed them starting at 45 in lbs, then to 97 in lbs. I think the pan gasket shrunk from the heat up cycles. Even the bolt I almost cross threaded was loose.
