It made some noise when I was trying to get the remote key fob to work.

OK! No takers. No prizes.

Since repairing my keyless entry fob this vent/grill thingy abve the drivers door makes a noise when the ignition is turned - on so I''ve been to the Chevy guys who thought it was something aftermarket but checking the Blazers (ex Japan) on their sale yard found they all had it. They had a wreck stripped of the roof liner & removed this thingy. It is a tiny fan with what appears to be a temp probe, & is wired to somewhere near the console computer. Still no clue as to the what & why. We checked with tissue paper & it seems to be sucking rather than a fan blowing. They gave it to so I took pics.
You guys got this thingy too?????

It''s a small fan thingy but sucks rather than blows into the cab!

Maybe if a smoker is driving it is meant to suck the smoke from cigs into the roof liner....lol

Search for the win! CLICK ME  It is the interior temp sensor.  You must have the automatic climate control.

I will be surprised if this post goes through...

*EDIT* - Woohoo, first post that was able to go through in more than a week.

Yup, it is the temperature control module for the automatic climate control.

This thing seems to have had a lot of guys curious.

Thanks Kyle.  I don''t know how a lot of us Blazer people get by without your wisdom.

You''re a fountain of knowledge. By the way, what''s your background? Blazerwise?

I have owned an ''85 S10 pickup and my old 2000 Bravada which is the extent of my s-series ownership.  But I have kept up on maintenance on close to 15 different S-series trucks/suvs over the years for friends and family.
