what's your fav vacation spot?

Mine is Old Orchard Beach, Maine. They have a huge carnival that runs in the weekend during the spring and all week during the summer. There are rides, bumper cars, arcades, fried dough (yum!), and much more. I strongly suggest for any new englanders or if you are a traveler, to visit Old Orcahrd Beach Maine. Here are a few pics.

Actually I have never really been any where that great.  The best were probably Northern Minnesota near Lake Superior. Or when we went to Sou St. Marie Michigan, that was really fun we went out on a boat and toured the area went through the Locks also went to Macana(spelling) Island.  Also I was at the air show in Oskosh WI for 3 years in a row.  Or the national drag races in Brainered, MN, I have been going there for the last 5 years last year I had VIP tickets. 
 
Other than that I haven't been any where that great.  I have been to a few places that I did some fun things at.  I went to Devils Lake, ND and got to fly over Devils Lake in  UH-1 Huey, got to do some rappaleing off of a 60 ft wall.  Also went there ice fishing a year ago.  I also went to Rapid City, SD and got to fly over the Black Hills in a Black Hawk flew over Mount Rushmore(which was really cool), and we also made tents with the millitary style ponchos.
 
I would like to go to Vegas some day soon and Italy and Australia sometime before I die.

My favorite vacation spot...........ummm......I'll tell you in a few weeks. I'm going fishing fishing in a couple of weeks and plan on doing some 4X4ing as well. It will be up the Pacific coast north of Vancouver.
One of the nicest places I've been is Tonga in the south pacific, close to Fiji.

Sneads Ferry, NC     We have a place down there a stone's throw from the boat ramp and we go fishing and flounder gigging out on the river. Topsail Island is only 5 miles away too and we will go there and lay out on the beach and fish and swim. Its great!

Aww Dave, I'm hurt....I thought Crossville, TN was your fave vacation spot!
 
I visited Nassau, Bahamas when I was 17 and MAN what a time that was. Nothing more fun than getting drunk with your mom, I tell ya, or at least my mom. Also, in February we went down to Florida to visit my mom and brother, it was a great time. My brother took us to a place called Punta Gorda and we did some fishing, or rather, he did. Bought some shrimp from the fishing docks and had a big dinner out on the patio. Honestly though, anywhere where there is a beach is a great vacation spot for me, it also helps if my family is there with me. Here's a pic that describes my ideal vacation spot. 5 members of my family in that shot.

Friendly people and of course Sonic in Crossville.  I have always gone to OOB every year for like the past 7 or 8 years or so.  I didn't say I didn't like Crossville.  I did like Chatanooga though, not my fav though.  I have been so many places up and down the east coast.  Drove to Florida twice with the fam, Maine about 30 times, New Jersey a few, South of The Border once (never again!), and pennsylvania about 10 times.

Yeah yeah...your only thoughts of crossville are chili cheese tater tots. Damn....come to think of it that sounds pretty good. LOL

Yeah, most people don't see me as an outdoor guy, but I can fish with the best of them. Living in the hood upped my shooting skills, so I can hunt with the best of them too!  I actually hold a Texas county record for the longest confirmed free hand (no scope) single shot kill on a Whitetail Deer!

lol...no...I've never actually taken my camera to the porkies..as it's like 40 years old and weighs 10lbs...(actually did bring it my first time there...the film roll didn't load right...and I didn't notice until I had put some miles behind me..and that's where I lost my lense cover crossing a stream..) the first one is Mckinley?? state park by Houghton..the second is Brokway Mounain...off of 26 by Eagle Harbor.....the third is Covered road out of Hancock...and the last is an off the map waterfall by..um....crap..oh yea Copper city...
