window tint

hey anyone know what GM puts in there trucks for stock back window tint, i have an 04 silverado ext cab and i think its the same as my old blazer want to know because i would like to match the front windows with the back. thanks

i believe its 20%

The two tint places in town told me it was 15%. . . and thats what they put on my buddy's '04 silverado... matches great......

when i went to get mine done, they told me it was 20% so thats what they did on the front windows and it matches perfectly....but if it is 15% i don't think you'll notice much of a difference between 20 and 15...

I just got my front windows done and I told the guy who was doing it to get it as close to the back windows as possible. He had one of them tint meter things and said the back ones are 17.5%. Cant say I have ever heard of half a percent but that is what he said

Wehn I had my ranger done, they used the tint meter/laser gun thing... and my factory tint wa 17%. . . . . odd number.... but as far as that goes.... there isnt much difference between 15 and 20... however be aware that they are both illegal in almost every state. . actually I believe they are illegal in every state... most states say no darker than 35%.... but the odds of getting in trouble for it aren't veyr good

GM dips their glass in a tint solution, its not a film, its the same dip they use for prescription tinted eyeglasses.

i just tinted my back windows at 5% over the factory tint lol so its very dark

lol ya it is i got 5 all the way around at night its fun to try and look out the back windows

Geez Jimmy! Might as well be driving around in a closed box!! hahah!!! I did that once, I had a Taurus years ago and I tinted that car way too dark. I got pulled over enough times, havent tinted a car since.

lol its very hard to see.....but its cool..i dont want anyone to see my stereo equipment
