1990 K-5 4wd with a rear window that wont go up. I have replaced the motor in the tailgate, and when I push the switch the window will sound like it goes down but not up. I was told that the dash switch should be replaced. Does anyone have any experience in this area? Thanks! Jeff

You may have a faulty switch in the rear panel. If you open the tailgate and remove the latches there should be a switch on each side. These switches (if I recall correctly) are supposed to prevent the window from going up if the latch is open. You should be able to jumper the connectors to bypass the switch as a test to see if the window will now go up. You can do this with the tailgate open. http://lmctruck.com/icatalog/bzc/0025.asp motor cutout switch #22 I don't know for sure, but I have a hunch....
