95 blazer with 4.3 and tow package
i recently towed an enclosed trailer containing a motorcycle, camping supplies and a few tools.
the total weight was arround 2,000 lbs and most of the driving was highways and hilly.
total distance was arround 2,000 miles and the balzer did a descent job, milage dropped down to about 13 mpg compared to about 19 unloaded

in the future i plan on a couple more trips like this, but i would really like to get some more power out of her first any ideas?

budget is probably between 200 and 400 bux

only performance add on is a k&n filter,

Hypertech chip. Expect 15hp gain and the necessity to run premium fuel. Thats about all I'm going to recommend on your budget. You might could get a catback exhaust setup for another few hundred, but I buy aftermarket exhaust for sound, I never notice too much of a difference performance wise.

yeah i think the hypertech chip would probably be the one of the better things to do, i have a new intake and exhuast which will help some. however you could buy the hypertech power programmer III and underdrive pulleys for less than the cost of intake/exhaust

also if you are going to be towing a lot one of the first things you may want to look into is a tranny cooler
