Hey Guys, does anyone know where I can get my hands on a GM Service Manual for a 1997 Blazer - hopefully for a good price? Any feedback on the Haynes Manual? From my past experience those are garbage and not detailed enough. I am also searching for an Owner's Manual for the same year- any suggestions? Thanks!

Owners manual - Free from MyGMLink.com albeit in electronic form (pdf).

If you can't find a FSM on eBay, then your only other resort is HelmInc.com.  Expensive, but it is the exact manual used at the dealership.

You may also want to take a look at AllDataDIY.com.

Kyle,
I''m on the GM site now trying to get an owners manual for a 1997 and cannot see any "link" or other way to get to download a manual. I am logged in and have entered my VIN number.

Do you know of a path once I get onto the site?

They changed the MyGMLink.com site a few months ago and I do not know how to get to that stuff anymore.  It is now run through Yahoo and it has never worked right since.  I can no longer add vehicles to my list...  Seems there is a limit to how many you can track.

Anyway, here is the permanent link to the 1997 Blazer Owners Manual.  I hope that works for you.

*EDIT* - Although in this case, with this topic, it is not all that bad to dig up a thread this old, please try not to do so.

Thanks Kyle,

Yes, the link you just provided worked great. I just brought a 97 Monday night, was in one family, went from father to son and the son traded it in, I bought off a used dealer.. 90K original miles, body is great basic LS, perfect for New Hampshire winters. I was able to add this blazer in on the Yahoo-GM site, when I created my account it automatically brought up my fathers Buick (same 1st name)..

Yeah, you''ll always find them on Ebay, sometimes you gotta be a little patient but add it that to your daily search and you could find some deals there.
