I see that hypertech  has their Max Energy for my year. Questions are does anyone have this installed? What were the improvements? for those that drag race did it help in the consistency? My Blazer is raced on the track in the local bracket program. It is the daily driver and i am looking into getting it if it will help get rid of some of the erractic runs that the factory comp. makes happen

Thanks

i just asked the same question a few weeks ago and the few people who replied, said the only difference between it and the regular PPIII was the possibility of updates via computer for the max energy

I have installed the Hypertech PPIII in my truck. I have noticed greater throttle response, but for acutal HP gains you need to run it on a dyno.

I have the PP III programmed into my '02 Blazer, but do not run the truck on a strip. I don't see any advantage to the Max Energy over the PP III other than the ME being Internet updateable, and I really don't believe they are going to be offering any updates for your particualr vehicle due to the age factor. IOW, any updates to the program have already been done.
Oh, BTW, Ed to the forum!
